Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has filed a patent for temporary location-based applications that would appear on a mobile device. A good example of how this technology could be used is if you are standing in line for a restaurant, a temporary app would pop up that shows you how much time is left for the wait and what the menu is. The patent application is titled “Location Specific Content” and was put together by Scott Herz. Herz is an Engineering Manager at Apple. [Patently Apple] [Patent]
